The National Park Service and California State Parks invite you to attend the annual “Old Time Holiday” celebration to be held on Saturday, December 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at Shasta State Historic Park located along Highway 299, just west of Redding, California.
The events at Camden House will not take place this year, due to many hazards in the Tower House Historic District. Tower House Historic District will remain closed until conditions become safe and restoration efforts are completed. There will be free entrance to the Courthouse Museum and the historic Litsch General Store. Activities will feature candle making, embroidery, ornament making, musical entertainment, treats, beverages and much more thanks to generous donations from the Friends of Whiskeytown.
Please be aware, parking will be limited and some areas in the state park will be closed for public safety. Closed areas include: Catholic Cemetery, area around the Brewery and the upper trail around the ruins. All areas that are closed will be marked.
Western National Parks Association is having a 15% discount on books and souvenirs all day at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center. There are many new nature-related gifts available at the park store. Support Whiskeytown while doing your holiday shopping.
