On the afternoon of June 28, 2018, Investigators with the Redding Police Department developed information as to the whereabouts of Anthony Warren Chambers, 22 years, of Redding. Chambers had an outstanding arrest warrant as a result of a shooting that took place on Harrison Avenue in Redding on June 18, 2018.
Officers executed a search warrant in the 7700 block of Thistle Lane in Redding with the assistance of the Redding Police S.W.A.T. team and the Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force (SINTF). Chambers attempted to flee out of the residence, but was quickly taken into custody.
Chambers was booked into the Shasta County Jail for the charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He is being held on $500,000 bail.
