Victim of Fatal Motorcycle Accident Identified

On February 4, 2018, at 1800 hours, a Deputy Coroner Investigator was dispatched to the intersection of Quartz Hill Road and Keswick Dam Boulevard regarding a fatal vehicle versus motorcycle traffic collision. The driver of the motorcycle was identified as 33 year old Jesse Lee Quaid of Redding, California. Mr. Quaid suffered significant injuries resulting from the traffic collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel.

His passenger was identified as 31 year old Kristionna Anne Quaid of Redding, California. She was transported to Mercy Medical Center, but later died as the result of her injuries suffered in the collision. The decedents’ next-of-kin(s) have been notified and postmortem autopsies are scheduled. The traffic collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

    Has anyone noticed that the Shasta County area seems to have an inordinate number of fatal motorcycle accidents?
