On September 21, 2017, at 12:03 a.m., Redding Police Officers responded to a residence on Heavenly Oak Lane in Redding for a homicide investigation. Redding Police Investigators responded to the scene and began an extensive investigation. During the investigation it was determined that the victim had been shot and had succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators identified three suspects. The suspects are Brooklyn Aubry Hill, (20 years of Redding), Isaiah Williams, (19 years of Redding), and Devin Dashawn Sutton Wilson, (21 years of Redding). All three suspects have been arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail on murder and robbery charges stemming from the homicide on Heavenly Oak Lane. Williams and Sutton Wilson were also booked on robbery charges stemming from the robbery at the T.A. Truck Stop on Knighton Road on September 20, 2017.
During the investigation a search warrant was served on a residence in the 1600 block of Willis Street. During the service of the search warrant investigators located items linking Hill, Williams and Sutton Wilson to the homicide and the two robberies. Investigators also believe the firearm used during the homicide and the robberies was located during the search of the residence.

On September 21, 2017, at 12:03 a.m., Redding Police Officers responded to the area of Heavenly Oak Lane in Redding regarding a suspicious circumstance. Officers made contact with a frantic victim who stated he had escaped from his residence as he and his roommate were being robbed at gunpoint. The victim led officers to 1268 Heavenly Oak Lane #1. Officers entered the residence and discovered a deceased victim in one of the rooms.
Throughout the day Redding Police Investigators followed up on leads and interviewed witnesses. Three suspects were positively identified as being involved in the robbery and homicide. Information was obtained that the suspects were possibly staying at a residence on Willis Street in Redding. At approximately 1:00 p.m. today, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area of the residence on Willis Street. A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of Market Street and Benton Drive. Two suspects were taken into custody without incident.
The Redding Police Department SWAT Team served a search warrant at the Willis Street residence a short time later and a third suspect was taken into custody.
This case is associated with an armed robbery that occurred at the T.A. Truck Stop on Knighton Road on September 20, 2017. That case is being investigated by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. The robbery victims from the T.A. Truck Stop are not associated with the incident on Heavenly Oak Lane.
This case is still under investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
The identity of the victims will be released once the family of the deceased has been notified. The identity of the suspects will be released when interviews have been concluded.
