The piano-four-hands + baritone + narrator team Piano Voce returns to Redding to present another of their unique, creative concerts. This performance, titled “Spiritus”, is based on two pieces: Dvorak’s “From the Bohemian Forest” for piano-4-hands, and Carlisle Floyd’s “Pilgrimage — Solo Cantata on Biblical Tests”, sung by baritone with piano accompaniment. Rounding out the concert will be a selection of arrangements from the church cantatas of J.S. Bach. Annette Gurnee Hull and Nancy Correll are the pianists; the baritone is Carl McGahan; and the narrator is Richard During. All the performers are from Humboldt County and are familiar to Redding audiences from numerous appearances here. Come enjoy a special evening of old and new music! Performance is at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 14 at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2850 Foothill Blvd., Redding. No charge for admission, but donations are gratefully accepted.
