When children are patients, it helps if the doctor they see is one who listens intently to them, and who focuses on their particular needs. Dr. Kisung Kim is such a pediatrician and he has recently joined Dignity Health Lassen Medical Clinic to help keep all children healthy. He received his medical degree from the School of Medicine Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea and completed his pediatric residency at State University New York Downstate Medical Center and Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is fluent in both English and Korean, and brings his intense focus on children to the North State.
Dr. Kim says: “I am interested in learning all that I can in order to better treat the children who come to see me. I want to know what they’re thinking and feeling because it can sometimes be different from what their parents say so I encourage them to talk to me. It is my hope to keep all of the children who are my patients healthy because children are the key to our bright future.”
