Many folks aren’t aware that Uber is operating in Redding now. To use Uber, go to their website to sign up. You’ll list a credit card on your account, and after that, you can request a ride to or from home after loading the Uber rider app on your smartphone. The app will inform you what your cost will before you request the ride, and Uber takes care of the financial transaction; no cash is necessary unless you choose to tip the driver. Uber drivers will likely be out in force come New Year’s Eve.
