In reply to Joe Too. Social Security would be solvent today if everyone received a safety net payment of 150% of the poverty rate. Otherwise benefits get cut ~22% in 2032 growing to ~40% when today's newborns retire. Medicare would be solvent with an 8% cut today compared to a forced 11% cut in 2036 […]
