In conjunction with the launch of the new Neighborhood Police Unit, the Redding Police Department will now begin coordinating efforts with local retailers to reduce the number of abandoned shopping carts in our community. The Redding Police Department has added a form to its website which allows the community to report the abandoned carts. Once submitted, the reports will be emailed to the retail store selected, or to that store’s agent. The web form allows users to add photographs of the area and shopping carts, should they choose. An additional box to describe the area in detail is also available.

To access the Abandoned Cart web form from the City of Redding Police Department web page simply click on the “file/forms” menu at the top of the page, then click on the drop down “Report Abandoned Shopping Cart” or under the “How can you help us” community button towards the bottom of the page.
