Shasta College Chorale and Symphony Present Handel’s “Messiah”

This holiday season don’t miss the premiere concert event for the entire family as the combined Shasta College Chorale and Shasta Symphony performs selections from Handel’s “Messiah” live in the Shasta College Theater on Saturday, Dec.12, at 7:30 p.m.  The beauty and majesty of the Christmas portion of the “Messiah” is legendary.  On the first part of the program, The Shasta Symphony will perform the “Christmas Fantasia” for Baritone, Chorus and Orchestra by Vaughan Williams, under the direction of Dr. Dwayne Corbin. The concert will also include a piece for orchestral winds, “Old Wine in New Bottles”, by Gordon Jacobs.  Soloists for the concert include soprano Daun Weiss, alto Natasha Czajka, tenor Pedro Betancourt, and baritone Christopher Withrow.
