During the evening hours of July 1st, 2015, Redding Police Department Investigators conducted an anti-pimping operation in north Redding. Investigators responded to numerous internet based ads offering escort services in the Shasta County area. The goal of the operation was to identify any suspects acting as pimps in the facilitation or provision of prostitution. A recent human trafficking investigation conducted by the Redding Police Department has demonstrated further need for additional anti-pimping/pandering operations in the Redding area.

At approximately 8:15 P.M., Aubre Lynn Hanes, 20 years of Redding, arrived at a pre-determined location and agreed to exchange sexual favors for money. Hanes was cited and released for solicitation of prostitution. Douglas James Middleton, 25 years of Shasta Lake City, arrived at the location with Hanes. Middleton was determined to have an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest, and was taken into custody. Middleton was subsequently booked into the Shasta County Jail.

At approximately 9:45 P.M., Sade Rene Perkins, 21 years of Lakewood, Washington, was delivered to a pre-determined location by a male subject operating a blue Cadillac. Perkins agreed to sexual favors in exchange for money and was arrested for soliciting prostitution.

Information obtained during the arrest of Perkins led investigators to contact and detain the male subject who delivered Perkins. Investigators identified the male as 21 year old Jae’von Dupriest Lozan-Alford, of Seattle, Washington. Lozan-Alford was found still sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle a short distance away from the location where he delivered Perkins.

A search of Lozan-Alford’s vehicle revealed a loaded .22 caliber handgun concealed under the driver’s seat. Additional ammunition for the firearm, condoms, and other evidence located in the vehicle indicated Lozan-Alford was benefiting from acts of prostitution committed by Perkins. Perkins’ Washington identification card was also located in Davonte’s wallet.

Perkins was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for solicitation of prostitution. Lozan-Alford was arrested for pimping, being armed in the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed loaded firearm in a vehicle, and conspiracy.
