Turtle Bay Adds New Tour to Mobile App: Mcconnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

Today Turtle Bay Exploration Park has launched a new self-guided tour on their existing mobile app Tour Turtle Bay: McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. On May 30, Turtle Bay Exploration Park celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens with free admission to the Gardens, refreshments, activities and Garden Guru speakers throughout the day. To continue the celebration, Turtle Bay has added a self-guided walking tour of the Botanical Gardens to the Tour Turtle Bay mobile app, thanks to a grant from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust.

Comparable to the fist two tours on the mobile app, Redding’s World Famous Sundial Bridge and Riparian Forest Adventure, this too is self-guided. The added tour features facts, figures and photos to educate users about the Botanical Gardens. It also includes an option of audio accompaniment.  Using a smartphone or tablet, users can download the app at the Apple Store or Google Play. More tours will be added to the app in the future.

Turtle Bay received a generous grant from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust to add the garden tour to their existing mobile app and to update the educational signage in the botanical gardens. After years of wear the new signage will have a sturdier material for a nicer viewing experience.
