McCloud’s Mushroom Festival and Flea Market

Mark your calendar to attend the 11th Annual McCloud Mushroom Music and Wine Festival – May 23 and 24 (Saturday and Sunday) on Main Street in McCloud, California.  This year should be the best ever!  For information and updates “like” our Facebook page:  McCloud Mushroom Music and Wine Fair

This year’s vendors will sell mushrooms and locally grown food products, artisan crafts and local ales.  We also have a number of great food vendors.  This year we will be offering workshops on both Saturday and Sunday.  Music will begin at noon on both Saturday and Sunday until 6 PM.

Saturday and Sunday Workshops:
*  All day – Family fun with Clay Dance Studio – Join Noam Zimin for an hour and a half of family fun exploring and learning the many ways you can create with clay!  Pinch pots, coiling and slabs!  Cost:  $10 per family (up to 4 people) – sign up at the McCloud Chamber Booth

*  11am Join Eric Schramm, Mushroom King, to learn from his 35 year experience about mushroom foraging and identification at the Mercantile Great Hall. A $100 prize will be given for the largest morel and boletus.

*  1 PM – 4 PM – Come meet the folks from “Bugs R Us” – great family fun – learn about insects from around the world – with some live creepy crawlies for you to see/touch!

*  1 PM – Join  Mariah (Herbalist at the Ohlone Institute) to learn about Medicinal Mushrooms in the Mercantile Great Hall ($5 – sign up at the McCloud Chamber Booth)

Dinner:
There will be a 4 course Gourmet Mushroom dinner prepared by Executive Chef Maurice Dissels, starting at 6pm on Saturday night. There will be a no host bar in the Great Room at the Mercantile. For ticket info or reservations, call the Mercantile at 530-859-2634. Seating is limited for dinner.

Come enjoy Blue Relish, Sundown Poachers, Alison and Victor, Ron Lovelace and Matthew Songmaker.  We have local schools – the McCloud High School, COS Jazz Accapella, and McCloud Elementary Taiko Drumming, lending their talents. The 44th Annual McCloud Flea Market is happening on Main St, McCloud on Sunday June 7th, 2015 from 8am to 4pm.

It is time to shop at over 100 booths of collectibles, antiques, crafts, metal sculptures, tools, clothing, jewelry, handmade purses and more being sold by vendors from all over Northern California and Southern Oregon.  It will be a good time for strolling and shopping at Siskiyou County’s largest free Flea Market.

Music will be provided by Wild Woman Sounds with DJ Geeia. We continue to support our local Firemen through the Firemen’s Pancake breakfast starting at 7am. There will be a variety of beers and food sold, including tri tip, pastrami, wraps and hand dipped ice cream, to name a few.

The Antique/Collectible appraisal is returning, with a $5 professional verbal appraisal, with official written appraisals for an additional fee.
