Bruce Webb’s brand new baritone electric guitar was stolen from the bed of his pickup Saturday while loading at the Yuba Street access to the Promenade, adjacent the southwest parking lot of The Mall in downtown Redding.
He’s filed a police report. The attached pictures are from the distributor, RondoMusic.com, and are of the exact model stolen, a Douglas Hadron 627FX NA.
The headstock has “DOUGLAS” displayed.
The guitar is a 6-string baritone tuned B-B instead of the conventional E-E. The strings are beefier than typical gauge, but not as big as a bass guitar. Also, the scale length is 27″ instead of the typical 25+/-“. It is NOT a 6-string bass but may be described by others as such.
What you can do: 1) keep your eyes open at music stores, pawn shops, local jams, bars etc. 2) if you have a moment, stop in at pawn shops and glance at the guitars on display 3) if you spot it call RPD asap at 530-225-4200.
