Free tax preparation and assistance for taxpayers with low and middle income, with special attention to those age 60 and older, is available from AARP Tax-Aide from February 2nd through April 15th, 2015. You do not need to be a member of AARP or a retiree to use this service.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers, trained in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, will offer help with personal income tax returns at various locations around Northern California.
Last year, in Shasta County,Tax-Aide volunteers helped nearly 1,575 people file their Federal and State Tax Returns FREE.
