The City of Redding Recreation Division and Viva Downtown Redding are pleased to announce “Winter Rink Downtown” presented by Shasta Regional Medical Center. “Winter Rink Downtown” is a unique, environmentally sound, non-refrigerated skating rink that will offer family fun for all ages over the holiday season December 20, 2014 – January 5, 2015. Winter Rink Downtown will be located at the Market Street Promenade inside the K2 Development Companies building formerly occupied by Jeter’s Playground and Need 2 Speed.
“We are excited to have a joint venture between Viva Downtown and City of Redding. Kim Niemer, City of Redding Director of Community Services, approached Viva Downtown with this opportunity for a rink and we were thrilled of the idea to bring this attraction to downtown Redding.” John Truitt Viva Downtown Executive Director.
Winter Rink Downtown will be open daily starting at 10am until close (closed Christmas day), admission for a 45 minute skate session will cost $7.00 per person and include skate rental. Participants will be required to be 7 years or older and over 42 inches tall. Concessions will be available on site.
