Ceremonial Robes by Rodney Thompson

The public is invited to the opening reception for the art exhibit Ceremonial Robes by Rodney Thompson. These are ceremonial garments for the shamans, magicians, and wizards of our time: The creators of electronic wonders, the magical boxes that entertain and pacify the populace, insuring domestic tranquility. The robes are made of paper, electronic parts, and materials that are disposable like the cherished electronics we discard and replace over and over, insuring our continued allegiance to the priesthood of technology.

Join us for the opening reception on Friday, Nov. 14 from 5-7pm for art, conversation and refreshments at the Siskiyou Arts Museum, 5824 Dunsmuir Avenue, Dunsmuir CA 96025.  The exhibit runs through January 5, 2015.

You are also invited to a special artist lecture by Rodney Thompson on the followingFriday, Nov. 21 at 6pm.
