Turtle Bay Exploration Park is hosting a brand new event this October: Spooktoberfest! On Friday, October 24 from 6-10 p.m., Turtle Bay’s Paul Bunyan Forest Camp will transform for a Halloween-themed night of family fun. Kids of all ages will enjoy ghoulishly fun activities, a special Creatures of the Night animal show, featuring some of your favorite animals at Turtle Bay, a rootbeer garden for kids and lots of other tricks and treats. Thanks to Redding Distributing, there will be an Oktoberfest-style, no-host beer garden for adults 21 and up. Plus, the night of spooktacular fun will finish off with the movie classic Ghostbusters on the outdoor movie screen in the Forest Camp Amphitheater. All guests are encouraged to come in costume, and if dressed up, and will be entered into a drawing for a special prize.
Tickets are $5 per person pre-sale, or $8 per person at the door. Or buy a family pack (2 adults and up to 4 children) for $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door. Tickets are currently on sale at the Museum front desk and the Museum Store and Coffee Bar and online tickets will be available this week. All proceeds support the exhibitions and educational programs at Turtle Bay. For more information, call 242-3130 or visit turtlebay.org/spooktoberfest.
