This year, AARP Tax-Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance preparation service is seeking volunteers for tax assistance/preparation and Client Facilitator positions. The season runs February 1 through April 15 but there are comprehensive training classes in January in cooperation with the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board.
Free tax assistance is provided for low and moderate income individuals with special attention to those 60 and older.
