Burglary in Progress Stopped, Arrest Made

On 08/12/14, at about 0145 hours, deputies from the City of Shasta Lake Station responded to a residence on Forest St. on a report from a concerned neighbor seeing a flashlight inside a residence next door. The neighbor knew the resident was not home and thought his residence was being burglarized.

Upon the deputy’s arrival, they located an open door to the rear of the residence. Next to the open door a large bag of stolen property was located. As the deputies were surrounding the residence, the suspect, later identified as Timothy Bailey, exited the rear door and was taken into custody without incident. Bailey was found to be in possession of a pry bar, a flashlight and wearing latex gloves

The items stolen by Bailey included numerous firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and various electronic items, which were all recovered. The stolen property was worth approximately $3,400.00. Bailey was booked into Shasta County Jail on the above charges.
