Unidentified Victim of Bully Fire Found

On Wednesday, July 16th, 2014, at approximately 1630 hours, the Shasta County Coroner’s Office received notification from Cal Fire that a deceased individual was located within the fire perimeter of the Bully Incident. Coroner Investigators responded and transported the remains back to our office. This afternoon, an autopsy was conducted and the cause of death is pending toxicology testing reports.

Thus far, the decedent was only identified as an adult male. We have not yet been able to positively identify the age or race of the decedent. At this time, there is no evidence to support foul play. The Coroner’s office is diligently working to learn the identity of the decedent. Anyone with information who can assist in identifying the decedent is encouraged to contact the Coroner’s office.
