NorCal Poultry Show at Tehama County Fairgrounds

Colored Feathers! Crested heads, and feathered feet! Have you seen many of the more than 400 kinds of colorful birds in the Poultry world lately? They will be on display at the NorCal Poultry Association Sanctioned Bird show on Mar 29, at the Tehama County Fairgrounds in Red Bluff, CA. At last year’s show, there were just shy of 600 birds on display. This show will be sanctioned and Judged by the Amer. Poultry Association and American Bantam Association, is a qualifying show for 4H members for Fair time, and a darn good time!

A new feature this year will be the Game Bird Show, contact for entries there is Glenda ph.: 707-382-0284. There will be many special Bird Club Meets, and prizes for entries. Coop in is Friday Mar 28 from 3-9PM, and Judging begins at 9am on Mar 29th.

The Comfort Inn is the Show’s Host Hotel, and California Brewing Company will be there serving, should you want a cold one, during the show. Some of the Shows sponsors include: McMurray Hatchery, Keller Family Farms, Palo Cedro Feed, Richfield Feed and Supply, the Livestock Conservancy, Foothill High School Construction Class, Reynolds Ranch and Supply, and 2 Buds Barbecue.

The Purpose of the NorCal Poultry Association is to promote interest in the breeding and exhibition of Standard bred land and water fowl, including Heritage breeds. We welcome new members, and our members come from northern, central California, Oregon etc.
