Dignity Health Mercy Hospice Redding Offers Volunteer Training

Mercy Hospice has a 35 year history of offering comprehensive care for area patients and families facing terminal illness and loss, enabling them to live each day comfortably and with quality and dignity.

Mercy Hospice is now taking applications for its spring volunteer training class. Our volunteers have opportunities to provide caregiver relief in the home; emotional and spiritual support for patients and family members; practical assistance (light housekeeping, errands); bereavement support and office assistance and a variety of other activities.

Volunteers must attend the training course, which begins April 3, 2014, and runs for six consecutive weeks from 8:45 to 11:45 am. Classes will be held at Mercy Medical Center in Auditoriums A&B.

If you are looking for a fulfilling, rewarding opportunity to help or would just like to attend to learn more about hospice care, please explore our Mercy Hospice volunteer program. Call Mercy Hospice at 530.245.4070. Completed applications are due by March 3, 2014.
