Mercy Home Health and St. Elizabeth Home Care Named as 2013 HomeCare Elite Winners by National Research Corporation

National Research Corporation and DecisionHealth have named Mercy Home Health and St. Elizabeth Home Care to their announced list of 2013 HomeCare Elite™ 500 winners.  Now in its eighth year, the HomeCare Elite program recognizes top-performing home health agencies across the United States. Mercy Home Health and St. Elizabeth Home Care were identified as being among the top 500 home health agencies in the nation.

OCS HomeCare by National Research Corporation, the leading products for home health metrics and analytics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the respected independent home care profession newsletter, Home Health Line, sponsor the award. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practices (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare. Out of 9,969 agencies considered, 2,496 are elite.

“The 2013 HomeCare Elite winners demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and serving as leaders in the home health community. Their success is a tribute that managing health care data and utilizing it for improvement initiatives lead to high quality care, and we recognize them for their outstanding achievements,” said Mary Oakes, senior vice president of post-acute at National Research.

Mercy Home Health and St. Elizabeth Home Health provide a full range of quality home care services to those who may be recovering from surgery, or those who are ill, frail, elderly, or terminally ill. An experienced care team of nurses, therapists, aides and social workers are available to work with the patient in the comfort of their own home, enhancing their health and helping them attain the highest levels of independence and quality of life.

“We are truly honored to have earned Top 500 HomeElite status,” stated Charlotte Haisch, Director, Home Health and Hospice Services.  “Our teams work tremendously hard to offer this valuable service with the highest level of quality, safety, and expertise for our patients and their families.  We look forward to serving our community’s home health care needs for years to come.”

Hmmm…I wonder why certain Home Health agency's press releases are posted here and others are not…could it have something to do with advertising dollars? Serious question…truly curious.
