Pictured is a fruit bat (one of the flying fox species). They don't occur in the Western Hemisphere except in zoos. Unlike our insect-eating bats, they rarely carry rabies.
In reply to Beverly Stafford. Holiday might be a bit more expensive, but the one on hartnell and shasta view is a very clean store with no bums in the parking lot like rally's. And, they make great sandwiches.
Kudos to Dr. Frank Nigro and his team for putting the request together for this valuable program for our local population in need. One more reason Shasta College is the fine institution of higher education for local grads.
