On 09/10/2013, late in the evening hours, the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office notified the Coroner’s Office in regard to a deceased subject located within the burned area of the Clover Fire. The location was identified as Coal Pit Road, where officer’s were conducting a welfare check.
They found the burned remains of a subject, the location was secured, and an investigation began.
On 09/11/2013, coroner’s investigators identified the subject as Brian Stanley Henry, 56. Brian Henry’s next of kin were located and he was positively identified by them as the decedent. The death investigation continues by the Coroner’s office. The investigation into the fire incident is being conducted by Cal Fire.
