The latest album from Shasta County country folk duo Still Married, Whiskeytown Roadhouse, is being released one song at a time online. The husband and wife duo is giving away the all-downloadable collection of ten tunes at their website: www.StillMarried.Net. Every Friday, through October 25th, a new song will be available for free download.
Whiskeytown Roadhouse is a concept album, an imaginative glimpse of life and love at a rowdy, rural tavern:
It’s a mythical honky-tonk: One part Cheers, one part Brigadoon, shaken with an ornery, old-west attitude – that’s the Whiskeytown Roadhouse.
The Whiskeytown Roadhouse lives in the past and the present. It’s inhabited by ghosts and lost souls, lovers and their sordid stories, and it’s tucked away in a canyon on the rough-and-tumble back roads of old Shasta County.
Erin and Craig Friedman are Still Married and the duo performs original acoustic tunes celebrating the landscape, the characters and the independent spirit of Far Northern California.
