SHASTA COUNTY— Due to the excessive heat warning that remains in effect for most of Shasta County cooling centers will be available on July Fourth. These centers will be open 2 pm to 7 pm, staffed by Health and Human Services and American Red Cross personnel.

City of Shasta Lake
o The John Beaudet Community Center on Median Ave.
Additional places to cool down between the hours of 10 am to 7 pm are the Mt. Shasta Mall and the offices of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union and Local 228 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union at 900 Locust St., Redding (corner of Garden Avenue – open now) – entrance on north side of building.
