Overdrive Digital Bookmobile visits the Redding Library

The Overdrive Digital Bookmobile will be stopping by the Redding Library on Monday, April 8. The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside an 18-wheel tractor-trailer. Interactive learning stations give visitors an opportunity to search the library’s digital media collection, use supported mobile devices, and sample eBooks, audiobooks, music, and videoReaders. All ages can learn how to download eBooks from the library through interactive demonstrations and high-definition instructional videos. A gadget gallery—featuring NOOK™, Kindle®, iPod® touch, Android™ tablet, Sony® Reader™, BlackBerry®, Windows® Phone, and more—will help visitors discover portable devices that are compatible with the library’s download service. The Bookmobile will be open 11am-5 pm, and will be in the Redding Library parking lot, near the Grape Street entrance. This event is free and open to the public. For information, call 245-7250 or visit www.shastalibraries.org.
