Rolling Hills Clinic welcomes family practice physician Dr. Brian Lair to its Red Bluff office and physician assistant Juan Sarmiento to its Corning office.
Rolling Hills Clinic is known for having a highly skilled and compassionate staff. Dr. Brian Lair is a board certified family practice physician who enjoys helping patients take charge of their own health and bodies by applying a holistic approach. He is thrilled to be working with Rolling Hills Clinic. “The attitude of the administration and employees is uplifting and enjoyable,” says Dr. Lair. “Everyone is happy to be working here … they act and function as a team, and patients are their priority.”
Dr. Lair studied in Nebraska at Chadron State College before attending the US Navy Health Professions Scholarship Program. He studied at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Lair finished his internship at Davenport Medical Center and completed his residency in family practice at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Lair has been a practicing physician since 1989, and has been working with Rolling Hills Clinic since January 2013. For his medical service and dedication both in military and non-military capacities, he has been presented with many awards.
Juan Sarmiento, PA joined Rolling Hills Clinic in September 2012. Having lived in Northern California for most of his life, he is happy to put his skills as a physician assistant to work locally, helping families with their medical needs. Fluent in Spanish, Juan is uniquely qualified to care for patients with language needs. “We have a high population of people who speak Spanish in Corning,” he says. “I enjoy being able to communicate with people in their native language.”
Juan grew up in San Francisco. After graduating from high school he joined the military where he spent three years as a corpsman. Back home, he earned his associates degree from San Francisco City College then went on to become a paramedic. To further his medical education, Juan enrolled in the Physician Assistant Program at Stanford University where he graduated in 1985. Since then, he has specialized in family practice medicine with subspecialties including pain and weight management, and pediatrics. Juan is accepting new patients.
