The public is invited to enjoy the young voices of the Redding Cooperative Preschool and the music of the Shasta High School Orchestra during the preschool’s 38th Annual Children’s Concert, held at 1 p.m. Sunday Feb. 24 in the David Marr Amphitheater, 2200 Eureka Way, Redding. The fundraising event includes a grand prize raffle of a houseboat vacation, valued at $2,000.
The winner of the houseboat vacation giveaway will enjoy a 3-night stay on a 14-sleeper Mirage houseboat offered by the Shasta Marina Resort. Tickets for the houseboat vacation are $20 each and can be purchased from a Redding Co-op family, by calling the the preschool at (530) 241-4355, or by purchasing a ticket at the concert. The winner need not be present to win.
All ages are welcome. Admission is free for children, $3 for adults. Redding’s Sweetspot bakery will offer concessions and a dutch raffle will feature goods and services donated from local businesses.
Since 1956, the Redding Co-op Preschool has provided quality educational opportunities for Redding children and their parents, grandparents and caregivers. Guided by Teacher-Director Jula Herzog, the Redding Co-op is a non-profit, non-sectarian, parent-participation preschool that features a variety of interactive experiences encompassing literature, science, physical education, arts, crafts and music. The Redding Co-op is a place where parents and children learn, play, and make new friends together using hands-on, developmentally appropriate activities in a safe environment.
