Turtle Bay Closed Through January 22 to Prepare for The Sheraton Redding at the Sundial Bridge

Turtle Bay Exploration Park is very excited to announce that we’ll be breaking ground in early 2013 to build Redding’s first and only 4-star, full-service hotel.  The Sheraton Redding at the Sundial Bridge will have 130 rooms, a three-meal-a-day restaurant, a fitness room, 4,000 square feet of meeting space, a Starwood Club room, a gorgeous pool, and more!  The hotel itself will occupy about half of what is now the Visitor Center parking lot, and the hotel’s restaurant will occupy the Visitor Center.

In preparation for hotel construction we’ll be closing the Visitor Center permanently on January 14.  At that time, the Museum Entrance adjacent to the Sundial Bridge will become the new Main Entrance to Turtle Bay Exploration Park.

We understand that this is a huge change for our members and guests, but we’re changing to make Turtle Bay better for you and the community. Over time, the Sheraton Redding at the Sundial Bridgewill help provide much needed revenue to Turtle Bay and allow us to beautify and maintain the Park, bring more blockbuster exhibitions to Redding, and continually improve the visitor experience.
