LAKE CALIFORNIA – The Tri-Shasta Sprint Triathlon committee and sponsors invite everyone out to a sprint triathlon being held May 12, 2012 in Lake California. Lake California is a gated, private community in Northern California mid-way between Redding and Red Bluff and adjoining Cottonwood. The community encompasses approximately 2,200 acres and features spectacular views of the Sacramento River, Mt. Lassen, Mt. Shasta and the Trinity/Siskiyou Mountain Ranges.
Enjoy this scenic event, which begins at 9:00 a.m., will include a 800 meter swim, 12 mile arduous bike course, and a four mile run overlooking the Sacramento River. You can find race and entry details at the following link, http://www.trishasta.com.
The Tri-Shasta Sprint Triathlon entry fee is $50, and includes a participant shirt with bag, and age division awards. Spectators are always welcome and encouraged to cheer on friends and family members and enjoy all that Lake California and Cottonwood have to offer.
