The 2012 Shasta College Summer musical will be the high energy Broadway hit “Legally Blonde – The Musical.” Open auditions for “Legally Blonde” will be held Saturday, February 18 from 1-5 PM, and March 12-14 from 6-9 PM on the Shasta College Theatre Stage. Auditions are open to the community. Cast members earn transferable college credits. Roles range in age from 15-60 years of age. Performers of all ages, including musicians, dancers, athletes, gymnasts and cheerleaders, are invited to audition. Shasta College musicals feature a live orchestra and 11 performances.
Singers are asked to bring a prepared song and sheet music to the audition. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Non-singing and dance parts are also available.
Rehearsals will run from July 2 to August 8 and performances will be presented from August 9-25. “Legally Blonde – The Musical” will be directed by Dean Munroe of the Shasta College Theatre Department. For more information call 242-2369.
