Vintage Wine Bar & Restaurant, aNewsCafe.com and HawkMan Studios
invite you to the
ArtHop After-Party
featuring live music by Megan Slankard and Jeff Campbell
Though only in her 20s, Megan Slankard has independently sold nearly 30,000 CDs while performing in hundreds of cities across the United States and Europe. She self-produced her first CD at age 18, and just released her fourth CD, which was recorded with help from David Bryson (Counting Crows) and Jerry Becker (Train). The new release (Spring 2011), “A Token Of The Wreckage,” is an edgy alt-rock record, brimming with stories told from unique perspectives. The new release held a spot for weeks in the 10-best selling albums on CD “Baby.”
Jeff Campbell, frontman of venerable Bay Area rock band Pine and Battery will release advance copies of his first solo album “Stop and Go,” a more acoustic-based collection of songs, on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Downtown Redding’s own Vintage Wine Bar and Restaurant, sharing the stage with longtime touring partner Megan Slankard. With this album, Jeff promises to stay true to the songwriting style that P&B fans have come to know but also to test some boundaries in terms of production, approach and style. “Stop and Go” also boasts guest performances from several of the Bay Area’s finest musicians, including but not limited to: Megan Slankard, Brad Brooks, Austin Willacy and James Deprato, who not only offered their performance talents, but also lent their hands with songwriting, arrangements and production. A tour spanning from fall 2011 through early winter 2012 will follow the Redding performance.
