Redding Police Investigate Butte Street Shooting

On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at approximately 1:47 a.m., Redding Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Butte Street regarding a report of several gunshots having just been fired into the apartment building.

The initial investigation reveals a male suspect described as “skinny,” and wearing dark colored clothing, fired several gunshots from an unknown type handgun, striking the inhabited building and a vehicle in the parking lot of the complex. There were no reported injuries.

The case is under investigation. Anyone having additional information regarding this incident is asked to call the Redding Police Department at (530) 225-4200.
