Redding Police Investigate Butte Street Shooting

On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at approximately 1:47 a.m., Redding Police Officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Butte Street regarding a report of several gunshots having just been fired into the apartment building.

The initial investigation reveals a male suspect described as “skinny,” and wearing dark colored clothing, fired several gunshots from an unknown type handgun, striking the inhabited building and a vehicle in the parking lot of the complex. There were no reported injuries.
