The public is invited to submit their favorite “snapshot” for an end of summer exhibition at the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area’s Visitor Center. The Friends of Whiskeytown, in cooperation with the National Park Service, is asking the public to submit amateur to professional photographs of “park-people-scapes”: Submit by email your “What I did this summer at Whiskeytown” photographs to Whiskeytown.Art@gmail.com.
Snapshots can be of people, their families and friends picnicking, swimming, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, boating, running, reading … any activity they enjoy at Whiskeytown. The Friends of Whiskeytown will present an exhibit at the Visitor Center of photos showing community members participating in the wide range of activities Whiskeytown offers.
This exhibition will be combined with the Whiskeytown Adventure Exhibition. Email your photograph no later than Wednesday (August 31). Selected photographs will be printed and on display at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center over the Labor Day weekend.
For more information, call the Visitor Center at 530-246-1225 or contact the Superintendent’s Office at 530-242-3460.
