The 2011 Images From A Glass Eye International Juried Photography Show, sponsored by the Tehama County Photo Club, will announce the $1,000 Best of Show winner at the show’s opening on Friday, August 26, at The Big Picture in Red Bluff. The show will continue through Friday, October 28.

Northern California professional photographers and photography educators Susan and Neil Silverman judged the entries. The couple has presented workshops for Great American Photography, Better Photo.com, Santa Fe School, PPA affiliates, PPC, and B&H Photo, among others. Their work has appeared in Outdoor Photography, Elle Magazine, der Spiegel, Sierra Club, the Cure, The Wooden Boat, Nikon World and others.

The Tehama County Photo Club was organized in June 2005 with nine photographers meeting in a member’s living room. It has grown to include more than 75 active participants who meet monthly to share pictures, exchange ideas, and learn techniques from each other. The club, which has no dues or formal organization, participates in area events to show and sell work, and also regularly organizes photography field trips. Photographers of all levels are invited to attend.
