If you have a passion for the outdoors, recreation and a little bit of quiet, head to Trinity County this weekend. Although, with wine tasting, a free jazz concert, food vendors, an art show, a beer garden and an appetizer cook-off, don’t expect a lot of quiet time. Remember a comfy chair so you can sit back, relax and take it all in at the annual Trinity Lake Fest in Trinity Center.
The Fest, a fundraiser for the Trinity Lake Revitalization Alliance, Trinity Center Volunteer Fire Department, Coffee Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Trinity Center IOOF Hall, features jazz vocalist Aimee Nolte and guitarist Hideaki Tokunaga, plus wine from nine regional vintners and an amateur appetizer cook-off.
A bit from the Trinity Lake Fest website: We have expanded the Fest this year with the addition of local artist exhibits and sales. Stop by their booths to see watercolors, fine photography, oil paintings, and more.
We are excited with our lineup of top wineries from Trinity County and nearby niche vineyards. Winery representatives will be present to talk about their wines and answer any of your wine questions. We thank our wineries for their tremendous support.
Aimee Fackrell Nolte and Hideaki Tokunaga will join us again in 2011 for a great afternoon of free jazz. Hideaki will be returning from Japan for our event.
Don’t miss our silent auction with “must-have” items and our raffle to support local after-school sports programs.
So “Get Outta Town,” spend a day in the mountains, excite all your senses and help support our neighbors in Trinity County.
