Starview’s Alleged Serial Tire Slasher Turns Himself In

A 21-year-old Redding man wanted on suspicion of 60 counts of vandalism, including about 18 alleged tire-slashing victims in the Starview Estates area, turned himself in today, Redding Police Sgt. Mike Wood said.

On June 1, Redding Police Officers responded to the Starview Estates area of Redding after receiving numerous complaints from victims reporting slashed tires on their vehicles. Officers interviewed approximately 18 different victims reporting an unknown suspect or suspects slashed tires on their vehicles during the nighttime hours.

During the subsequent investigation, officers received information implicating Joshua Cameron Camblin, 21 years, of Redding. As a result of the investigation, a felony warrant, charging 60 counts of vandalism, was issued against Camblin. Bail was set at $50,000.

Today, June 29, 2011, Camblin turned himself in at the Shasta County Jail where he was booked for the warrant.
