What: Dine and Donate Fundraiser for 9-year-old Matt Farley at Mary’s Pizza Shack
When: May 1; Blood and marrow drive, 12 – 5 p.m.; Matt’s Dine and Donate, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Where: Mary’s Pizza Shack, Shasta Outlets in Anderson, 1901 Highway 273.
Matt was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 5. After extensive treatment with chemotherapy, Matt and his family thought they had it beat.
Later, Matt’s family found out that the treatment they believed would cure their son caused a rare reaction. Matt now has bone marrow cancer.
We ask the community to come together on Sunday, May 1st as we search for Matt’s hero, the donor match who can save his life.
BloodSource will have its Mobile Blood and Marrow Drive in the parking lot of the Shasta Outlets in Anderson from 12pm to 5pm. Everyone is asked to come down, take the mouth swab test, and register as a donor.
Dine with us and 20% of sales generated during the fundraiser drive will help support medical expenses and costs associated with Matt’s treatment as he prepares for a marrow transplant.
