What: Free Breast Cancer Screening for Women 50 years of age and older
When: Pre-register no later than Wednesday (Dec. 15) for the screening, held Jan. 27.

Cost: Free for qualifying women
Early detection is critical in treating breast cancer. The Mercy Regional Cancer Center will host a free breast cancer screening for qualifying women 50 years of age and older who have previously participated in the Every Woman Counts – Breast Cancer Early Detection Program. The screening will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2011.
The breast cancer screening involves three components:
Mammogram – an X-ray of your breasts can be a powerful way to detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage.
Breast Self Examination Education – provided by a Mercy oncology nurse.
Clinical Breast Examination – a physician or affiliated health care providers will conduct the examination.
