Thanks for covering this event, Adam. Did you know that we, of the greater Redding area, boast more NATIONAL Champion fiddlers than any other single area of the U.S.? The picture of the little girl being accompanied by an adult is a good explanation. We have fabulous teachers and interested, supportive adults.

And Adam, Redding area fiddlers played with or are still playing with artists like Kenny Rogers, Dwight Yoakum, the Dixie Chicks, Pam Tillis, Mark O'Connor, Merle Haggard, Lorrie Morgan and Rod Stewart. Adrienne, you are so right about the great teachers and support for musicians in this area. Other fiddle players from this area are successful teachers, engineers and business owners. Oh, and the music at fiddle contests is awesome.
