‘Get Outta Town’ for Some Old Time Fiddlin’

“Get Outta Town” is your guide to weekend events in 11 State of Jefferson counties. Experience some of the events that the North State has to offer. This week’s A News Cafe “Get Outta Town” highlight is the 5th Annual Weaverville Open, Oldtime Fiddle Contest in Trinity County.

This year’s contest is in memory of Trinity County veteran and fiddler Jim Burgess.

What: Weaverville Open, Oldtime Fiddle Contest

When: Sat., Sept. 18 – 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center, Weaverville

Cost: $8 (Individuals) $12 (couples), $15 (families), available at Mamma Llama Coffeehouse or State Farm Insurance in Weaverville.
