Redding is not suddenly hosting the World Series or big-time bowl game, but there’s an airship cruising our skies nonetheless.

Don’t call it a blimp, it’s the Airship Ventures’ Farmers Insurance Airship, also known as the Zeppelin Eureka. The Zeppelin is on a month-long tour of the Pacific Northwest.

It’s the first time a Zeppelin airship has offered passengers flights in the region.

Similar to the historic barnstorming tours of the 1920s, the Zeppelin is traveling to five cities in the Northwest. The airship, the world’s largest, will be in Redding through tomorrow (Saturday).

Tickets to fly on the airship start at $375 per person. A limited number of buy one regularly priced, save 50 percent on a second, are available. To learn more about flight options visit www.FarmersAirship.com , or call (650) 969-8100 x111.

    Hi folks,

Great picture of the mini Zeppelin, good to see they have fire insurance from Farmers, but not too sure how upright the photographer was.
