‘Get Outta Town’ for Lewiston Peddlers’ Faire

Get outta town this weekend and experience some of the events that the North State has to offer. This week’s A News Cafe “Get Outta Town” highlight is the Lewiston Peddlers’ Faire.

peddlersfairet2010

A real old-fashion street faire – antiques, collectibles, arts & crafts, food booths, entertainment. The 21st annual fair is located in beautiful historic Lewiston.

Stroll along Deadwood Street in historic Lewiston as over 100 vendors sell their wares. Enjoy award-winning local wines from Trinity County wineries. The historic town lies beneath the Trinity Alps and is bordered by Trinity and Lewiston Lakes – and of course the beautiful Trinity River runs right through it. Originally an old gold mining town, Lewiston now boasts of its attractions to tourists, fishermen, boaters, rafters, campers, retirees, hunters, and hikers.

The Lewiston Peddlers’ Faire attracts vendors from all over the country, as well as sellers from out of the local mountain towns. The faire features antique furniture, primitive and rustic, old bottles, antique tools, advertising, signs, toys, pottery and glass – to please even the most serious antique collector. Creative artists will display folk art, stained glass, textiles, jewelry, carvings, and unusual creations. Enjoy wine tasting and live music on multiple outdoor stages produced by Strings N Beans. Buddy Evans will be playing in Margaritaville at the Lewiston Hotel.
