Doni was very clear (in the past) about what a bad idea this "park" was and now, her disregarded fears seem prophetic.

If only our city leaders had listened to that suggestion and not had to listen to Ken Dagg's after-the-wasted-money idea of giving the expensive GROUND away.

    Phil-
I was picturing more cow pies in the "shovel ready" model, since Glenn Hawes just leased a good portion of Stillwater "Business" Park. The real question is why we spent $50 million to build infrastructure out to a cattle pasture?

stillwater might make a very good habitat for a "Pogoesque" type strip. I would have preferred ground squirrels or jack rabbits to rats as native denizens though.

Oh, and Redding citizens should care, because the council is considering giving the first lot at Stillwater away at a cost of $1.6 million with a "promise" to bring jobs by a corporation. This thing will more and more resemble Phil's first cartoon with the money pit and bulldozer. This really a sad situation, because city staff is busy attacking workers' wages and benefits while they give away millions to developers and business at no lasting benefit to Reddingites.

Ha, too funny Phil. We can only hope this won't go down in Redding's history of another boondoggle gone bad.

Maybe Redding Rancheria would be interested in buying this piece of God's earth. I can only imagine the progress.

I'm sorry but I have long suspected most of the people on our city council are 'idiots'!!! and only interested in what befnefits themselves and not the majority of the people in Redding.
