We make a Mexican bean & cheese soup. We have special reindeer bowls to serve it in. We cut flour tortillas into festive and some silly shapes, broil them with a bit of chili powder and stand them up in the soup. We put sour cream in a squeeze bottle and decorate the soup top. Each bowl is unique, and we all prefer our own! This tradition started so the kids could make the soup while I worked at the Post Office and always got home late on Christmas Eve. Hopefully we will have had some time to bake and will leave some cookies out for Santa. We usually open a gift each, this year we may skip that small detail!
