Enjoy a drive this weekend and take in some of these North State Events:

Taste of Willow Creek

An annual event where vintners, farmers and artisans join together to present a Passport Sunday. Participants receive a commemorative wine glass, passport, map and a fun-filled day. Pick up your passport at Community Commons (the grassy parkway next to the Bigfoot Museum on the corner of Hwy. 299 and 96) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., then shuttle or drive to Trinity River Farm, Dogwood Estate Winery, Willow Creek Farms, Cinnabar Sam’s Restaurant, River Nook Orchard and Sentinel Vineyards where you will be hosted with music, art, local wines and fresh produce. North Country Fair, Arcata

Of all the events held on the Arcata Plaza, non quite captures the bong-thumping, craft-hawking, spin-dancing free spirit of this eccentric coastal town then the North Country Fair. While vendors hawk their wares and arts, amateur magicians, bands and puppet shows adorn the grass. Civil War Days, Fortuna Over two days, reenactors will present living history, from massive battles with cannon and rifle fire, to depictions of daily life in military camps, in refugee settlements and among the people who lived and died during the “War Between the States.” Sat, Sept 19 and Sun, Sept 20 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Click HERE for more information.

Art Party, Mt. Shasta

Art in the park to celebrate the artistry of Siskiyou County. Come join in the fun at the Mt. Shasta City Park with artists from Dunsmuir, McCloud, Mt. Shasta, Weed, Yreka, Scott Valley and Happy Camp. Free concert, dancing, storytelling, poetry reading and more. Mt. Shasta Brewery wine tasting, BBQ by Mt.
