To kick off September’s ArtHop, HawkMan Studios and A News Cafe are proud to throw the first party in the newly renamed “Market Street Promenade” (formerly the Downtown Mall). The fun begins at 5 p.m., Sat., Sept. 12.
The activities include a free community concert by the Enterprise High School Jazz Ensemble. The ArtHop kick-off is the Enterprise Ensemble’s first public show this year. The performance will feature jazz performed by some of our community’s most gifted young musicians.
Also, the public will get a chance to get their hands messy (feet, arms, and legs, too) in the ArtBrain Collaboration “PaintCar Splosion” where you’re invited to express your artistic abilities or release artistic tensions on ArtBrain Collaboration’s Art Car.
Once the care is splashed, splattered and painted by the community during the September ArtHop, it will be the official vehicle of the Collaboration, a project of Rowell Family Empowerment that provides an opportunity for children of all abilities to explore open-ended art.
Look for the “Splosion” outside Need-2-Speed. Inside, the HawkMan Studios “ArtAttack” will present drawing, painting and chalk art.
In addition to food vendors at the Market Street Promenade’s first party, at 9:30 Enjoy Magazine’s “Arts and Classics Series” Movie on the Green will project “Auntie Mame” on Enjoy’s gigantic movie screen. Bring a blanket or chair for this free community event.
See you at the party!
