Home sales in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley jumped to their highest level in three years last month, fed by bargains and a loosening of the mortgage market.
A DataQuick report released Thursday said June’s increase of 31 percent over a year ago was the seventh month in a row of increased home sales year-over-year and the largest number since June 2006.
